Le Rapporteur spécial sur la liberté de religion ou de conviction est un expert indépendant nommé par le Conseil des droits de l'homme de l'ONU. L'actuelle titulaire du mandat, Dr Nazila Ghanea, occupe le poste depuis juillet 2022. Dr Ahmed Shaheed était le précédent titulaire de 2016 à 2022.
